As you are all aware, the Quebec government has placed the province at the Level 3 Orange Alert step since the beginning of this week. This third level comes with some specific intermediate measures which are now in effect: maximum of 6 people in a private personal gathering, maximum of 6 people sitting at the same table in a restaurant…). The specific measure that will have an immediate impact for the union and its members states that any organized gathering in a closed public venue will go from a maximum of 250 to 25 people.
The election meeting is still scheduled for October 14, but we will not be able to hold it as planned at the Plaza Antique due to this newly imposed intermediate measure. Instead, we will organize a virtual assembly through the Zoom platform. As with conventional assemblies, we will have to take attendance in order to ensure that the people who will be present are indeed members of the APPA. (more)
