It has been brought to our attention that some provisions of the new collective agreement related to remuneration or to resolving pay equity audit complaints are not being implemented as had been agreed upon. As of now, the reported cases have been in the health and social services network.
At various locations, amounts owed and wage adjustments are not being paid to workers. In other cases in which payments are planned for later dates, individuals are being told that deadlines may not be respected.
The government has acknowledged that it is behind; however, details regarding the new applicable provisions have been available since June. In any case, the government is not keeping its word, which is completely unacceptable.
Know that, in this context, we are making all of the necessary political representations to ensure that your rights are respected. In addition, the CSN and the affected public-sector federations are assessing all possible legal recourse with the goal of ensuring the defence of all aggrieved members.
