(schools that are near each other, we encourage to join forces)

 

DAY 2-NOVEMBER 22^ND

8:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M.

WE GATHER AT ONE OF 2 MEETING POINTS
You must choose one of these points, attendance will be taken.

1. EMSB HEAD OFFICE
2. LMAC HIGHSCHOOL

DAY 3 – NOVEMBER 23^RD

MEETING TIME: 8:30 A.M.

CHOOSE ONE OF TWO MEETING POINTS:
You must choose one of these points, attendance will be taken.

1. CHUM  264 BOUL. RENE LEVESQUE (Berri-UQAM metro)
2. 3737 SHERBROOKE (Near Pie-IX metro)

• Look for the APPA signs because attendance will be taken at this point.
• We will be marching to a central location as the COMMON FRONT.
• This action should end around lunch time.

 

CSN STRIKE FUND

Please scan the QR code (and link) so that APPA members can register for the strike fund before November 21^st.  You can also go to your delegate to help you with this.  Please inform your delegate once you have filled out the form.

It is imperative that every APPA member fills this form out, or you will not have access to any money from the CSN.

YOU CANNOT MISS ANY OF THE PICKETING DAYS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS FUND! ON DAY 3 (NOVEMBER 23RD) YOU WILL BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR THE 315$  This means that if we sign a deal on Friday November 24th, you will get the 315 $

BUT

This 315$ will cover members until Day 5. If they miss any of the days without a valid and motivated excuse, they will lose their eligibility for that 5-day sequence.

A new eligibility period starts on Day 6, members will be required to be on the picket lines to eligible for the NEXT 315$

APPA STRIKE FUND

For the APPA strike fund, you will receive a MAXIMUM of 120$ (equivalent to 2 days of 6-hour picketing)

Note:  Those who picketed on November 6^th already earned 30$ towards this total.

CHILDREN ON THE PICKET LINE

WE DO NOT RECOMMENDED THAT CHILDREN BE PRESENT ON THE PICKET LINE AS 6 HOURS WILL BE TOO LONG FOR THEM. WE DO UNDERSTAND THAN SOME MAY NOT HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION, BUT PLEASE TRY TO FIND A SOLUTION!

MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS:

For regular medical appointments (example: dentists, check-ups, blood tests) we are informing members to move their appointments. If they cannot be moved, a medical note will be needed and the CSN will expect you to be on the picket lines before or after your appointment. 

For pre-op appointments or specialized appointments, a medical note will have to be provided to ensure the eligibility to the strike fund and depending on the time you will be required to be on the picket line before or after.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

For severe medical conditions (ex. Raynaud’s disease) a medical note will be needed. For any other medical conditions, you can make the picketing easier by:

• Bringing a camping chair.
• Dressing warmly.
• Bringing a blanket.
• Sitting as much as you would like.
